Vacuum Hydro Excavation

The advantages of using NDD are numerous

Vacuum Excavation – “Non Destructive Digging

The theory behind vacuum excavation is simple, it digs a hole in the ground by penetrating hard soils with pressurized water to break up the solid state into a slurry. The loose soil is then vacuumed through a hose into a collection tank for later disposal. In this way, a pothole is created safely exposing the service without the risk of damage or injury to the operator.

Once a locator has located the utilities, the vacuum excavation truck comes on site to expose the service. No waste or spoil is left at the point of excavation. Ideal for those situations where the spoil potentially is contaminated or would add to the size of the barricaded work site.

It is much more time effective than hand digging and less risk of Manual handling injuries reducing occupational Health & Safety issues for staff and their employers.
